• Purchase Information: When you purchase OwnInvoice, our payment processor (Stripe) collects your name, email address, and payment details. We receive your email address and a record of the transaction but do not store your credit card information.
• License Activation: When you activate your license key, we store a hashed machine identifier to verify your license. This identifier cannot be used to identify you or your device.
• Support Requests: If you contact us for support, we collect your email address and the content of your message.

Information Collected Automatically on Our Website

Our website uses Google Analytics to help us understand how visitors use the site. Google Analytics collects:

• Pages visited, time on site, and referral sources
• Approximate geographic location (city/country level)
• Browser type, device type, and operating system
• IP address (anonymized by Google Analytics)

This data is aggregated and cannot identify you personally. No analytics or telemetry is collected from the OwnInvoice desktop application.

3. Data Storage & Security

All your business data (invoices, clients, items, settings) is stored locally on your computer in a SQLite database. We never upload, access, or transmit this data.

Purchase records and license keys are stored securely using industry-standard encryption. Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe, which is PCI-DSS compliant.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• GitHub: Hosting application downloads. GitHub's privacy policy applies when downloading the application.

If you choose to integrate third-party payment gateways (Stripe, PayPal, Square, GoCardless, Authorize.Net) within OwnInvoice, those connections are made directly from your computer to the gateway. We do not intermediate or have access to those connections.

You have the right to:

• Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Request deletion of your personal data from our systems
• Opt out of any marketing communications
• Export or delete your local OwnInvoice data at any time (it's on your computer)

6. Cookies

Our website uses cookies set by Google Analytics to distinguish unique visitors and track sessions. These cookies do not store personal information. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or by adjusting your browser's cookie settings.

The OwnInvoice desktop application does not use cookies.

OwnInvoice is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
